A warm and fun loving personality on Kidscentral, this trained Counselling Psychologist has appeared on Love Matters, Under One Roof, Growing Up, The Singapore Short Story Project and the award winning Alter Asians I & II. Hostwise, he is fondly remembered for his wackiness on KidsCentral's "The Big Q", which clinched the coveted Gold Medal at the 43rd New York Festivals for the Youth Programs Category in TV Programming & Promotion Competition 2001. In addition to being a clown, mime and juggler, Mervyn's affable-and-friendly style has won him many fans.
As such, he has been involved in: community programmes, conducting roadshows/talks and hosting corporate events. Clients include: Nokia, Tangs, HSBC, Kidscentral, Health Promotion Board, IE Singapore, Sembwaste, Nickelodeon,7-11, Malaysia Dairy Industries, Sustagen, KFC, and Nestle.
Mervyn has also volunteered with projects raising funds for Margaret Drive's Rainbow Centre, BEYOND Social Services, Camp Sunshine, Children’s Society, CARE, Singapore Red Cross and Children’s Cancer Foundation. 2003 has also seen Mervyn being appointed Ambassador for BEYOND Social Services’ “Streetwise Run 2003”.
His new project “Bring Your Toothbrush”, a reality based program will air on Kidscentral on 11 Dec 2005.
