These series of sketches are inspired by my children’s love for animals. I brought them to the zoo and they were forever enthralled by the elephants, tigers, Orang Utans, rhinoceros and Proboscis monkey.
Each sketch is rendered on recycled paper and carefully drawn, detailing the vibrant energy of the animal and yet capturing them in a moment in time. The art work is meant to appeal to the sensibilities of the young hence the juxtaposition of realism, attention to gradation, texturing and use of comic posturing of the animal within the sketch.
